Adding an image to your blog/article post or any web page is pretty easy. This article will show you how to upload images along best practices.
IMAGE PREPARATION
Before you upload an image to your website, we highly recommend that you optimize the image size (actual dimensions “width/height”) and reduce its file size.
Large images not only waste space on your account, it slow down your website loading speed specially on mobile devices. Slow loading websites are penalized by search engines, like Google, and will turn visitors away from your website.
Use Photoshop or any photo editor to optimize your image size prior to uploading it to your website. Files are recommended to be under 300KB.
Recommended File Formats
JPG or PNG formats, whatever gives you better quality with smaller file size.
File Names
Name your images descriptively and in consistent format and in lower case, with no space between words. Example: my-image.jpg, my-image-2.jpg, vacation-spot.png, vacation-spot-2.png, etc…
